Sit A Spell

Yesterday I saw the surgeon for the final time before my mastectomy- He Outlined for me the amount of skin he will be removing for the “simple” mastectomy.  Why do they call it simple?  I guess because they are not doing a hack job like they used to do!  Below is a photo I took showing the outline before I wash it off! Oh and yes my NEW NIPPLE will look like that too! I ordered it special!!  My Doctor also informed me that he may have to take a small section of my muscle that sits behind the cancer as it is very close to the cancer and to avoid any possibility of cancer in that area he may remove it.
I will know my definate surgery date TODAY . I also found out that my breast will be reconstructed in time.  They will insert an expander and gradually PUMP ME UP to get the skin to slowly stretch to allow for the implant placement at a later time.
